The title is from a April 20, 2007 article on global warming and local activists in the Isthmus -- Madison, Wisconsin's alternative weekly.

The author, Linda Falkenstein, goes on to write, "We can't point to global warming as a looming catastrophe that cries out for forceful action, then ridicule and dismiss all calls for dramatic change."

Right on.

From my first post, "We can be proactive now, or have disruptions thrust upon us later"  and  "The sooner we address an escalating problem, the easier it is to fix."
